Our client is a well-known private Ivy League research University and Education Leader and they are looking for a SIS (Scholar Information System) Program Manager to join their growing team on a 12 month contract, with the opportunity for extension. The SIS Program Manager will be brought on to lead the scholar Information System program. This role is responsible for cultivating a technology ecosystem that meets the current and evolving needs of the MBA and Doctoral programs, such as joint degree programs and evolving scholar schedules. This initiative will allow the client to better support students and provide a seamless, personalized experience. responsibilities:
Program Overview: SIS Program
Define strategy and business case
Selection and procurement of new third-party SaaS solution, possible additional point solutions to ensure coverage for majority of critical processes/needs
Implementation and migration to new SIS and any point solutions
Define new operational model and facilitate transition
Decommission and remove old systems
Position Overview:
Lead all phases of complex information technology projects designed as solutions with university-wide impact, and that require high levels of functional integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed.
Perform the full range of the project management lifecycle: discovery initiating, planning, budgeting, executing, governance, monitoring and controlling, and closing. Ensure accurate and timely reporting; prepare specialized and ad hoc reports.
Develop detailed plans, schedule, project estimate, and resource plan. Evaluate and assess metrics and project effectiveness.
Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team. Ensure adherence to quality standards. Provide training to clients/staff.
Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.
Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of problems; revise, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements.
Absorb and leverage project related technology to ensure effective project management and collaboration.
Leverage steering and executive committees for decision-making, change management, and communications.
Advise unit/school regarding post project operations.
qualifications:
Experience level: Experienced
Minimum 8 years of experience
Education: Bachelors (required)
