job summary:
Structural Designer opportunity with a client located in the Birmingham, AL area. This is a potential hybrid remote opportunity that will be responsible for Civil - Structural design and detailing of industrial and - or large commercial facilities. This position may require visits to sites primarily in Alabama but some are located throughout the southeast.

responsibilities:
Civil/Structural design and detailing of industrial and/or large commercial facilities
Creating AutoCAD steel and concrete drawings for industrial or commercial projects
Creating foundation layout and details
Creating structural Steel layout and details
Potentially performing site walk-downs
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Approximately 10 or more years of experience in Civil/Structural design and detailing of industrial and/or large commercial facilities
Demonstrated proficiency in creating steel and concrete drawings for industrial or commercial projects in AutoCAD
Steel/concrete detailing experience is required
3D modeling experience and the ability to produce clear, concise drawings
Experience with foundation layout, structural Steel layout, and details.
Experience with Advance Steel is a plus
Willingness to do site visits as needed
