job details
Currently hiring tig Welders in the Beltsville area. Must be able to fabricate details and duct assemblies by scribing, cutting and grinding to tight tolerances. Responsible for the conformance of finish parts to drawings and specs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Weld details and ducting system. Fit and weld all Class parts. Training of other welders and fitters.
salary: $31 - $32 per hour
shift: Second
work hours: 2 PM - 10:30 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
Position Criteria: Requires strong math skills and ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.
Cert. to AWS sepc. D17.1 is required.
Excellent visual inspection skills are required.
Must be able to provide pics of welding work.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 35lbs
standing for 8 hours at one time
