An Assistant Product Developer is needed for a company that manufactures, sells, and markets non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the Atlanta, GA area. We are seeking a Product Development Assistant to support the formulation, sampling, testing, and validation of food and beverage products, leveraging strong technical skills in food technology and chemistry, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and efficient project management.

salary: $22.05 - 27.00 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

  • Prepare product formulations and support documentation for product approval.

  • Create and administer product samples.

  • Perform analyses on syrup and finished beverage samples, including pH, titratable acidity, Brix, and other attributes.

  • Coordinate sample shipments to manufacturing facilities and other stakeholders.

  • Validate products using fountain equipment for performance testing.

  • Maintain and calibrate lab instruments following established procedures.

  • Adhere to company operating policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Primary Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of food technology and product development.

  • Understanding of food chemistry and complex food systems.

  • Familiarity with food and beverage process technology, food hygiene, and food microbiology.

  • Project management skills including planning, organizing, and execution.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience.

  • Educational background in food science, food technology, food engineering, or food nutrition.

Foundation Skills:

  • strong communication skills (written, listening, speaking).

  • Team player with leadership potential.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
