how you will contribute

As Category Manager of Marketing and Business services, you will play an important role in supporting business owners in building and executing the category strategies for all marketing categories, as well as HR and professional services (PS) procurement. The category manager works on the category internal (stakeholders) and external (suppliers) relationships in close cooperation with the head of Non-It procurement, contract management, and contract owners and is supported by the junior category lead and the Procurement Excellence team.

what you will be doing

The category manager is part of the global procurement team driving various strategic initiatives and projects. Therefore speed, commitment, being a self-starter, and having excellent communication skills are key to success.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for

  • business partnering with the global marketing team, the global HR team & with the functional owners of professional services

your main responsibilities are;

  • optimizing the delivery of marketing, HR, PS annual spend

  • supporting specific initiatives as part of Randstad’s wider business objectives

  • gathering and translating category insights into strategic proposals and initiatives for Marketing, HR, and PS

  • sourcing projects

  • support strategic contract implementations

  • collaborating, coaching, and sharing best practices with Opcos

  • nurturing strategic supplier relationships as part of the supplier relationship management program focusing on performance, risk management, and innovation by bringing new thinking, new products, services, and solutions

  • contributing to the development of the global procurement team setup, policies, and governance

who will you work with

The Global Procurement department consists of the IT and Non-IT sourcing and Procurement excellence teams. Together you are responsible for enabling business strategy implementation where category managers play an important role in supporting the stakeholders in all sourcing activity. You will report to the head of Global Non-IT Procurement.

what you will bring

Your communication and negotiation skills are well-developed. You have a 5 + years track record in indirect procurement category management and are a proven and skilled business partner. You have an affinity for human resources, marketing, and professional services and understand the relevant complexities in these service procurement categories.

You have a service-minded attitude that balances all interests in your approach when delivering on objectives and adding your expertise to the discussions. Are you keen to help us shape our
